115 seconds of my life (time lapse)

More time lapse now; me doing the garden. Awesome! 1 hour 10 minutes real time, time lapse - 115 seconds. 817 frames total (1 frame taken every 5 secs), play back 7 frames per second.

Let there be light!

I've been wanting to do something a bit different with cheap garden solar lights (89p - B&M!), as I'm not entirely keen on their traditional casing. So, I already had some empty jars in the house and bought some cheap ones too. Although not life changing, they work a treat and create enough free light to find your wine glass after the sun goes down.

Here's what I did and the end result:

DIY planter box

We've had some decking knocking around from last year. I decided to be productive and make some planter boxes. They did't take long at all. Lucas gave it his best shot at 'helping'. Due to wet weather, I made them in the living room, of course!

Time lapse - Baguettes

This is my first outing using time lapse (mobile phone) photography. Baguettes; not the most interesting of subjects, in fact it's a bit rubbish, but it's a start - 222 frames captured in 19mins 15secs - playback; 7 frames per second (ignore the reflection in the glass, I need to perfect my setup):

Decking - almost done!

Some pics of the garden when we first moved in, compared to what it looks like now that the decking is down. It's almost done, just facia boards to go on (when they're delivered).

Thanks to everyone who has contributed over the past two years:

Dad
Mum
John K
Adam
Tom

Big thanks to Adam for planning the decking and working so hard and tirelessly. Ta mate!

Decking

Now that the gravel has been laid down, it was time to put together the deck frame. Massive thanks to Adam for pretty much doing this single handed. Also, big thanks to my Dad for the re-pointing work and bricklaying. We couldn't have done it without both your help!

Before the deck boards go down we'll need another tonne of gravel. This will ensure that any remaining gaps between the frame and ground are filled, which will stop the deck from bouncing when walked on.
